Upcoming Physician Absences

Dr. E. Perez Away: Oct. 1–8, 2026

Dr. T. Khan (Locum) Away: Sep. 21–Oct 13, 2026

Dr. C. McGuire Away: Oct. 7–16, 2026.

Dr. T. Khan will provide coverage on October 14 and 15, 2026. Appointments booked on these dates will be scheduled with Dr. T. Khan.

Dr. Hillman will be away on parental leave from October 12th - November 6th, with Dr. Khan covering during this time. Due to the unpredictable nature of going on a leave like this, there is a chance he will be off sooner than this. Beginning in October, Dr. Khan will also be available to see Dr. Hillman’s patients, and take over coverage at an earlier date if needed. Thanks for your understanding

New Patient Intake Update

As of May 1, 2026, Dr. E. Perez Guzman is no longer accepting new patients. Only individuals who booked a Meet & Greet appointment prior to this date will be accommodated.

Dr. Ramin Sariaslani is not accepting new patients at this time.

AI Scribe During Your Visit

To help us focus more on you during your appointment, our clinic may use an AI Scribe—a secure digital assistant that listens to the conversation and generates a draft medical note for your provider.

Your Privacy

Updates to Our Primary Care Provider Team

For patients of Dr. Tosefsky and Dr. McGuire:

Over the past four years, we have been fortunate to have Dr. Chris Hillman providing full-time, long-term locum coverage. During this time, Dr. Hillman has delivered excellent care while supporting our clinic through physician absences and helping maintain a sustainable workload.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Hillman will continue with Marpole Medical on a long-term basis and will begin caring for his own panel of patients starting March 23, 2026.

While Dr. Hillman has seen many patients from Dr. Tosefsky’s and Dr. McGuire’s practices, he will only be able to accept a limited number into his panel to ensure accessibility and quality of care.

  • Patients who are being transferred to Dr. Hillman will receive a notification message shortly

  • Patients who do not receive a notification will continue with their current family physician and will no longer be able to book appointments with Dr. Hillman

We appreciate your understanding as we navigate this transition and remain committed to providing high-quality care to all our patients.

Retirement Announcement from Dr. Merrick Tosefsky

Dear Patient(s)

I am writing to inform you that after careful consideration, I will be retiring from my medical practice and will be stepping down as your primary care physician by the end of August 2026.

Over recent years Marpole Medical has been in the enviable position of managing to recruit very capable physicians, all of whom are in the earlier phases of their careers. This will allow me to seamlessly transfer your care to one of these physicians and Marpole Medical can continue to be your (and your family's) medical home.

You will be receiving an e-mail (or, in some instances, a letter) from Marpole Medical advising you which physician will be taking over your care.

Please note that after I have stopped working, any prescriptions refills will require an appointment with your new physician. Also ensure that when you access Hospital Services, Emergency, Urgent Care, Laboratory, Medical Imaging and Specialist services that this change in your primary care physician is reflected. It is your responsibility to inform of the changes.

It has been a great pleasure and privilege to have been your primary care provider for all of these years (some of you for more than 30!). Thank you for entrusting me with your care.
